Specialist IT Publisher Packt, has today announced a new book on the popular blog engine WordPress. Written by experienced author Hasin Hayder, WordPress Complete takes readers through the essential tasks required to create a feature-rich blog as quickly as possible.
WordPress is a simple and powerful way to start blogging. Released under the GNU general public license, it is open source and subsequently free to download and install. It is an ideal tool for developing blogs and though it is chiefly used for blogging, it can also be used as a complete CMS with very little effort. WordPress’ versatility and ease of use has attracted a large, enthusiastic, and helpful community of users.

WordPress 2.0.4, the latest stable release in our Duke series, is available for immediate download. This release contains several important security fixes, so it’s highly recommended for all users. We’ve also rolled in a number of bug fixes (over 50!), so it’s a pretty solid release across the board.
Upgrading is fairly simple, just overwrite your old files with the latest from the download. If you’d like more thorough instructions, the Codex is always the best spot.
